RECENT DEATHS
Sincere sympathy is extended to Martin Joe O’Grady, Gurteen on their death on July 18 of his sister Mary Scanlon Ontario (and Manchester) – she was predeceased by her husband Peter of Clooneigh. May she rest in peace.
Sincere sympathy is also extended to Marion Durkin Kilfree on the death on July 16 of her Aunt – Margaret (Peggy) Hearne née Loughrey. May she rest in peace.
Sincere sympathy is extended to Cheryl Fitzgerald, Gurteen on the death on July 16 of her father Rick Le Fevre, Philadelphia. May he rest in peace.
RECENT BAPTISM
Welcomed in to the Sacrament of baptism on Saturday, July 22, was Seán Hunt born on June 21 to Maureen Fitzharris and Shane Hunt of Kilfree and Maynooth.
COLLECTIONS
North West Hospice sent a letter to thank all who organised/ participated in/donated to the Mid-summer Walk at Cloonloo when €265.70 was collected. They also want to acknowledge all who donated to the recent Churchgate collections: Gurteen €371, Cloonloo €124, Killaraght €70.
CAR BOOT SALE

CEMETERY MASSES
The Cemetery Mass will be celebrated in Templeronan Cemetery on next Sunday, August 6, at 11 a.m. The Killaraght Old Cemetery Mass will be celebrated on Sunday, August 13, at midday.
BINGO
Bingo is on every Friday night at 8.30 p.m. in Gurteen Hall the jackpot is now €1,600 on 45 calls or less with a lotto jackpot of €400. Profits are shared for the hall upkeep and the local GAA Club Eastern Harps.
COLEMAN MUSIC CENTRE
The Michael Coleman story will be on this Wednesday night, August 2, and will also be on August 23 in the Coleman Music Centre, Gurteen starting at 8.30 p.m. This special performance tells the story of the world renowned fiddle player Michael Coleman (1891 – 1945).
