CLAY PIGEON SHOOT

The annual Easkey Leap Clay Pigeon Shoot will be held at the Harbour Bar, Pullaheene­y on Sunday, August 6, at 2 p.m. The event will include a ladies competitio­n barbecue and raffle. Money raised go towards tidy town’s expenses.

FEIS IASCAIGH

Feis Iascaigh takes place in Easkey on August 5 and six. This is a 10th year anniversar­y Irish Dance Feis. Hall opens at 8.15. Entries will be accepted on each day of the Feis. Contact 085 1758828. Refreshmen­ts available at the centre.

AGNES CALPIN R.I.P.

The death has taken place of Agnes Calpin née Kilgallen, Ballygreha­n, Templeboy in her 98th year. Removal from her residence took place to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Templeboy for Requiem Mass and burial took place in St Joseph’s Cemetry. Sympathy is extended to her family and relations.

SOCCER ACADEMY

Soccer Stars of the future turned out last week to the Seán Davis Soccer Academy held at Dromard Community Centre, Skreen. Children aged five to 15 years enjoyed the excellent weather and facilities and the superb coaching on offer from quality FAI., IFA and European coaches. Seán reminded everyone at the Presentati­on of Awards that his Academy will return possibly at Easter or next summer to Skreen.

HOSPICE COLLECTION­S

North West Hospice church gate collection­s will take place at Easkey and Dromore West on August, Saturday five and Sunday six.

CEMETERY MASS

Roslea Cemetery Mass and blessing of graves will be held on Friday, August 4, at 7 p.m.

SUMMER CAMP

A summer camp will be held at Skreen-Dromard community centre on August 21, 22, 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for children ages 5 to 12 years. Cost €30 per child or family €50. Camp will consist of arts, crafts and games with a day trip to Hazelwood forest. Contact Anne Marie at 087 6649635 to book.

LOTTO DRAW

There was no winner of the jackpot in the Easkey lotto draw on July 21. Winners of €25 were Micheál Weir, Denise O’Brien, Della Lindsay, Elaine Unkles and Séamus Feeney. Promoters prize Tony Jones. Next jackpot €5,100 and the draw will take place at the bingo in the Community Centre at 8.30 on Friday night. The lotto now is available online.
