Couple safe after fire broke out in sitting room
A couple were brought to hospital as a precautionary measure after a fire broke out in their home in Rathbraughan Park last week.
The alarm was raised shortly after 1.30am on Thursday 10 th August. Two units of Sligo Fire Brigade, two ambulances and three Garda cars attended the scene. A spokesperson for Sligo Fire Services said the couple were not injured in the fire which broke out in their sitting room. Separately, Gardaí are investigating a fire at the old Herron and Sons warehouse in Finisklin last Tuesday night. No one was injured in the incident.
