OLD FAIR DAY SUCCESS

The 32nd Old Fair Day passed off on the streets of Tubbercurr­y on Wednesday, August 9, with great success and all credit is due to the wonderful committee and team of helpers who put the whole event together.

In the true spirit of community co-operation, the organising committee and Stewarts operated like a well-oiled machine and thousands of visitors who came to town had a truly wonderful and enjoyable day. The weather throughout the day was perfect, with glorious sunshine in the afternoon after a cloudy morning.

As well as plenty of Stewarts on hand to help when needed, there was a good Garda presence to ensure no difficulti­es arose and any potential trouble was nipped at the bud. Thank you to all for a memorable event.
