‘ Walk of Life’ in aid of STOP Suicide
An annual 5km walk aims to raise awareness and funds for STOP Suicide - based in Manorhamilton.
Organised by the family of Tony Scanlon who passed away tragically in 2011. The walk will take place on Sunday, September 10th, at 2.30pm. The walk begins at St. Nathy’s Cemetery in Collooney, and follows the same route as last year’s event.
All proceeds from this event go to STOP Suicide - Start Telling Others Prevention.
Sponsorship cards will be available, but they are not nec- essary to take part in the walk.
This walk is about remembering all the loved ones lost, and helping those who have been left behind.
STOP Suicide - Start Telling Others Prevention is based in Manorhamilton and has been a huge help to the Scanlon family since the passing of Tony.

STOP Suicide was founded in 2004 by families who were breaved by suicide. They are a community, voluntary body that works to prevent suicide by informing educating and promoting positive suicide prevention policies throughout the west and north- west of Ireland.
Their fully qualified Garda Vetted Counsellors are located across Sligo, Leitrim, Donegal, Cavan, Longford, Mayo, & Roscommon. Each of the counsellors have their own counselling rooms available.
There is also a counselling room available.
