Fun for all the family!

DESPITE the showery weather the Beltra show was packed with visitors who came to enjoy the annual spectacle.

There was fun for all the family from bouncy castles to Irish Dancing not to mention the various competitions. Judy Brannelly from Tonaphubble, Sligo won the Best Dressed Lady on the day with her striking green and white crochet ensemble which she made herself. The Judge, Sligo Champion Editor Jenny McCudden was very impressed with her nimble fingers ! “I made the outfit from head to toe but I love crochet. I could do it all day long,” said Judy. Another group who went to great efforts to dress up were the Children’s Fancy Dress brigade. A bonny baby competition for one and under and two an under was also held as was a fancy dress for dogs. Vegetables, cakes, arts and crafts were just some of the other stalls with high quality produce and products on display and up for judging.
