Rovers officials to meet over financial concerns

-

SLIGO Rovers admit they face a difficult end to the season financially as they cope with close to two months without a home league game.

The Bit o’ Red were forced to reschedule their home game with Bray Wanderers for last month due to the Scottish Challenge Cup and following an early exit from the FAI Cup, it means Rovers face financial problems in the short-term.

The game with Falkirk attracted 650 spectators with the gate revenue split between both clubs.

Rovers officials are understood to be meeting this week to discuss what can be done to deal with the issue.

The next league game at The Showgrounds is on 7 October against Bohemians.
