WEST SLIGO SINGERS

The West Sligo Singers resume their meetings on Tuesday, September 5, with a workshop facilitate­d by Katherine Zeterson, who is an experience­d tutor working with community choirs. Based in the Skreen area, West Sligo Singers welcome anybody interested in singing with the community choir. Please feel free to come and join the experience without obligation. TRACTOR RUN

The annual Tractor Run ‘Across the Mountain and down the Brae’ will take place on Sunday, September 10, from the Skreen-Dromard Community Centre. Registrati­on of tractors is from 12.30 p.m. to 1.45 p.m. at the centre. The entry fee is €20 per tractor. The proceeds of this run will go to the council for the Blind and the Order of Malta.

WALK THANKS

The Tireragh Branch of parents and friends and Cregg House would like to express their sincere thanks to everyone who took part in and donated to and helped out at the recent annual Sponsored Walk/Fun Run. Just over €2,000 was raised for people with Intellectu­al Disabilite­s.

The committee would also like to acknowledg­e the receipt of €185 donations in lieu of flowers in memory of the late Nell Finnerty RIP who had been a long standing member of the Tireragh Branch Committee.

WOMEN’S MINI MARATHON

The staff and friends of the North West Hospice would like to thank everyone who took pat in the 2017 Women’s Mini Marathon and to those who gave so generously to this very worthy cause. This year the total raised was €1,940.

A special word of thanks goes to Pat Finnegan, who is a very diligent and kind collector.
