SHOUT OUT FOR SLIGO’S GOT TALENT EVENT

If you’ve got a talent then now is the time to flaunt it.

The Garavogue Bar in Sligo has just launched a Sligo’s Got Talent competitio­n giving you the chance to scoop a whopping €10,000 cash prize. But hurry, the closing date to enter is next Tuesday 19 th September.

Spokeswoma­n Sinead Canning explains: “Sligo’s Got Talent is coming back to the Garavogue by popular demand. We ran the show six years ago. The public has prompted us to reintroduc­e the event to Sligo. This is open to anyone with a talent who is over the age of 18. It can be singing, magic, a talking dog.”

Sligo has a wealth of diverse talent and Sinead promises audiences won’t be disappoint­ed with the calibre of entertainm­ent. In fact those watching proceeding­s will even get the chance to have their say.

“The live shows will run from September 29 th for 10 weeks. Anyone who is in the bar before 930pm will get a voting slip and together with the three judges will get a chance to decide who goes through to the next round,” Sinead explains.

The auditions will be held on Thursday 21st September. Already Sinead says there is a keen interest with about 50 people having registered to take part.

“We have a strategy in place to get through all the auditions,” she says, “and the live shows which will take us up to Christmas will be great fun for everyone involved.

“The cash prize which is being sponsored by the Ga- ravogue Bar of €10,000 will make someone’s Christmas very happy indeed.”

The Sligo Champion is the official media sponsor for Sligo’s Got Talent and will carry coverage of the competitio­n from start to finish.
