Free safety checks for Sligo Schools

A local company has just announced it is to offer free fire safety checks for schools across the North West.

Power Right Fire and Security say its team of Fire and Emergency Lighting Engineers are prepared to travel around the region to assess each school’s current fire safety systems. Managing Director Raymond O’Boyle said: “We’ve been in business for over 35 years. We will be able to advise on whether a school is compliant with the National Standards and we are also capable of issuing fire safety certifications to the schools who reach the compliance standards.

Summerhill Principal Paul Keogh said: “Last year we engaged Power Right to perform a health check on the School and its existing Fire Alarm System. They presented me with their recommendations as to where we were at and what work was required to ensure our School was fully compliant with the National Standards.
