Drink driving ban

A driver who admitted a charge of drunk driving was f ined € 200 and banned from driving for three years at Sligo District Court.

The penalties were imposed on Peter Duignan (46) of Heather View who admitted the of fence which occurred on March 28th 2016 at West Gardens.

A reading from the defendant showed a concentration of 98mgs of alcohol per 100mls of breath.

Commenting on the high reading, the Judge asked the defendant why he had been so drunk to which he replied it was a mistake and that he didn’t have an excuse.

Mr Mark Mullaney, solicitor (defending) entered a plea to the of fence.
