Promoting that vital safety message of ‘Staying Alive at 1.5m’

-

THE promotion of the ‘Staying Alive at 1.5m’ campaign continues across Sligo thanks to the efforts of councillor Marie Casserly.

More stickers promoting the important safety message for road users are being made available.

“This is a continuation of the ‘Staying Alive at 1.5m’ cycling safety campaign that I’ve been involved with for the past three years promoting the message for vehicles to give at least 1.5m when passing cyclists.

“Thanks to sponsors Sligo Credit Union, the Roads Department of Sligo County Council, and Coreprint printers for sponsoring the new stickers.

“Thanks as always to all the members of Innisfree Wheelers Sligo Sport and Recreation Partnership and Sligo Cycling Campaign for their constant support.

“These stickers are available from myself and at City Hall Sligo. Anyone who would like to sponsor some more stickers please get in touch,” said Cllr Casserly.
