No OPW scheme for flood works in Rathbraughan
COUNCILLOR Thomas Healy called for a report on flood prevention measures in Rathbraughan to be urgently fast tracked.
He told the meeting that the Council should be looking for funding for flood relief works as soon as possible from Minister of State at the OPW Kevin ‘Boxer’ Moran.
Sligo County Council however, said no scheme has been put in place by the OPW for the Rathbraughan flood prevention measures. In the meantime, it’s carried out maintenance works on the open drain between Ballytivnan Road and the Mardyke.
It is also continuing to monitor and clean all road gullies in The Woodlands estate and adjacent areas.
