LOTTO DRAW

The Geevagh Community Resource lotto draw was held in Paddy’s Bar on Saturday, September 2, for a jackpot of €8,800. The numbers drawn were 13, 25, 27 and 28. There was no winner.

The next draw for a jackpot of €8,900 will be held on Saturday, September 9, in Shivnan’s Bar.

The winners of €20 each were Mary Foley, Ballyfarnon; Jimmy and Mary Mostyn, Ballindoon; Emma Shivnan, c/o Shivnan’s; Anto Cawley, Geevagh and Paschal Meehan, Ashbourne.

COFFEE MORNING

A coffee morning and raffle will be held in Highwood Community Centre on this coming Sunday after the 10.45 a.m. Mass. All proceeds will go towards to Hospice. All support will be gratefully appreciated.

ACTIVE AGE CLUBS

The CLASP Active Age Clubs have returned after the August break and we are looking for new members to join both the Gleann Monday club and Geevagh club on a Thursday, both starting at 1 p.m.

People can expect a warm welcome a hot home cooked three course meal, and various social activities.

Numbers have declined in recent months and it is vital if we want community services to continue in the area that people start supporting the clubs. As the
