Cocaine charge is struck out

-

A man who brought ¤500 to court has had a cocaine charge against him struck out.

Dylan Codd (26) of Farnaharpy, Skreen, was originally charged with having cocaine for sale or supply at 65 Rusheen Ard, Caltragh on November 27 th 2015.

His solicitor Mr John Anderson told the court that the judge said at a previous hearing that if Codd brought ¤500 to court he would deal with the matter short of a conviction.

“He has the ¤500 in court,” he said.

Judge Kilrane agreed to strike out the charge “on the basis of the defendant having pleaded guilty”.

He then ordered the money be donated to Hope House in Mayo.
