Fans around the world watching finals

THE Sligo ladies county finals in Markievicz Park broke new ground as they were the first ladies club finals to be streamed online.

Fastcom were involved in the production with Sligo LGFA Chairperson Keith Gilroy getting messages throughout the day from football fans watching worldwide.

There were messages coming in from the USA, Britain, Asia and Australia as the Junior, Intermediate and Senior finals took place.

Keith said everything ran very smoothly on the day and praised the efforts from all the IT guys who put in a lot of work.

He also thanked Fastcom for their support. Upwards of 150 were watching the Senior final as Geevagh defeated holders St Nathy’s.
