FUNDRAISIN­G DANCE

Your support of this special event will be appreciate­d as it gives opportunit­y for our community to meet in an informal social setting. You will help support the developmen­t of the area and our charity which this year this year is the locally based Alzheimer Day Care Centre in Aughamore. Trevor Moyles will provide the music at the dance Saturday week September 23 at 9.30 p.m.

PROGRESSIV­E 25

The regular progressiv­e 25 card game is in Carraroe Community Centre each Tuesday at 9 p.m. Bring a partner but we can facilitate partners if necessary. The first game of this season was last Tuesday night and we were delighted to welcome all back after the summer break. Winners were Padriag McLaughlin/John Lee. Runners-up were Pat Collery/Bernadette White.

LIFE IN THE SPIRIT

The Life in the Spirit Seminar will begin in Carraroe Community Centre commencing on Friday, October 6, at 8 p.m. for eight weeks. The seminar contains music, talks and discussion.

SCOIL NAOMH ÉANNA

We appeal to parents to use the dedicated walled off parking area at school to drop and collect children and not park on double yellow lines as it blocks the second exit from the car park. Double yellow lines have been placed on the road at roundabout and An Garda Siobhán has advised the law will be enforced.

DANCE LESSONS

There are dance lessons followed by live band every Wednesday night in Carraroe Community Centre Sligo from 8.30 p.m. to late. Learn to Jive, Waltz, Quick Step and more. Beginners and Improvers welcome.

Tomorrow night September 20 will feature Aidan Rooney Band and Wednesday, September 27, Billy Corcoran Band will provide the live music. Come along and enjoy great nights of dancing to good live music. For more informatio­n contact Frank at 087 9809432.

LINE DANCING CLASS

A brand new beginner level line dancing class is starting in Carraroe Community Centre at 8 p.m. next Monday, September 25. For more informatio­n please contact Gary at 085 7819808.

AED/DEFIB

Please note the AED is back on Community Centre in work- ing order. Code is the same and is posted beside the machine. Please be aware CCTV is in operation on the site. We will soon be commencing training again. If anyone wishes to be trained in CPR please call 087 2222835 and we will place name on list.

IRISH DANCING

LAKEVIEW ICA GUILD

Coolaney Guild celebrates its Golden Jubilee on Friday, September 29, at 8 p.m. in Coolaney Community Centre, it is an open night and all guilds are invited to come and celebrate with them. The winter conference will be held in the Glenroyal Hotel in Maynooth – more informatio­n will be available soon.
