Angela Wimsey r.i.p.The recent death occurred in Putney, London of Angela Wimsy, originally from Connolly Park, Tubbercurr­y. Aged 66 years, Angela was daughter of the late Peter and Martha Wimsey. She left Tubbercurr­y before her 15th birthday on leaving school, and went to London seeking employment. She was a regular visitor back to Tubbercurr­y over the subsequent 50 years while her parents were alive. She fell into poor health herself in recent years and got great support from the Royal Marsden Hospital in Kingston.

Predecease­d by her parents and sister Attracta, she is survived by children, Emerson, Lorraine and James, four grandchild­ren, sisters Martha, Sandra and Marian, brothers Joe, Peter, Christy and Seán, and an extended number of in-laws, nephews, nieces and cousins, all to whom sympathy is extended. Her funeral service to celebrate her life took place in Putney. May she rest in peace.

TRADITIONA­L MUSIC

Classes have resumed in the Family Resource Centre, Tubbercurr­y, and continue every Monday night with Whistle and Flute for beginners at 6.15 p.m., and advanced whistle and flute at 7 p.m. Fiddle Classes at 7.45 p.m.

ADVENTURE CAMP

GUIDED MEDITATION

New Class starting at 8.15 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19, in Curry Community Centre opposite Yeats’s County Inn. The class will run for 10 weeks promoting a State of Peace and Calm in a Relaxed Atmosphere.

Meditation is essential to feel well. It can help to eliminate negative thoughts worries and anxiety, all factors that can prevent us feeling happy. Please Bring a Mat and Blanket. Fee is Pay As You Go and only €8 a class.
