St Joseph’s play in Croker today

-

ST Josephs School Ballytivnan had their final preparation on last Wednesday in the Centre of Excellence Scarden ahead of the Martin Donnelly GAA “Football for ALL” Interprovincial Finals in Croke Park on Tuesday, 26th September.

There are two teams from Connacht Region Schools (boys and girls) playing in the hallowed turf of Croke Park and they have had two combined coaching sessions in COE Scarden under excellent coaches Liam Og Gormley, Padraig Clancy, Brian Maguire and Gerry Tuohy from Sligo and Eoin Sweeney, Martin Costello Billy Mc Nicholas from Mayo. The joy and smiles on the players’ faces as they practiced and played gaelic football was a joy to behold, and they really appreciated mixing with other players from different counties. St Josephs School Ballytivnan and principal Carmel Wynne are to be commended as they are on their second journey to Croke Park, as they represented Connacht last year. The teachers, parents, and volunteer coaches need to be complimented and lauded on preparing for and having their day in Croke Park. Tim Hynes, Chairman of the Sligo GAA Inclusion Games for All wished them the best of luck in Croke Park today as they play for Connacht in the second Martin Donnelly GAA “Football for ALL” Interprovincial Finals.
