NEW KIDS YOGA COURSE

A new 10-week kids’ yoga course started yesterday, Monday, at the centre. The course runs each Monday from 3 p.m. to 3.45 p.m. And is for 4 year-olds to 6 year-olds. The fee is €50. Contact arina@mokshala.com or 087 3561972 for further details.

YOUTH CLUBS

Our Junior Youth Club meets on Monday and Wednesday from 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Senior Youth Club meets on Tuesday and Thursday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Parent and Toddler Groups the parent and toddler group meets on Monday morning from 10.30 a.m. to midday. Everyone welcome.

FUN DRAMA CLASSES

The Avalon Centre Fun Drama Classes have returned on Wednesdays as follows: From 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. (7-10-year-olds) and from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. (1013-year-olds) Contact the centre at 071 9161836 or theavalonc­entre@eircom.net to register your interest. The cost is €50 per term.

DANCE CLASSES

Our dance classes have returned on Monday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. is for six- to nine-year-olds and 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. for nine- to 12-year-olds. Contact the centre for further details. Singing Singing classes have resumed on Tuesdays. Classes for eight- to 11-year-olds are from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. And for 11- to 14-year-olds from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Again, contact the centre for further details.

FLAMENCO DANCING

Flamenco Dancing lessons have started. They take place between 7 p.m. And 8 p.m. on Thursday nights. Contact 083 4680924 for further informatio­n.

SELF-DEFENCE CLASSES

Krav Maga Self-defence classes have started on Wednesday nights from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Contact 087 0659709 for more details.

SOCIAL DAY CENTRE

Our social day centre provides older people with improved quality of life through opportunit­ies for socialisin­g and lifelong learning. It also provides them with a place to engage with their peers and promotes inclusion and integratio­n of older people in the life of the community. The centre also aims to improve the mental health and well-being of older people and combat feelings of loneliness and isolation.

The social day centre runs four days per week, Monday to Thursday from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Contact the centre for further details. The programme is partly funded by the HSE and supported by the Department of Social Protection.

BINGO

Bingo continues every Friday night from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Dou- ble books cost €15, single books €10, half books €5 and single sheets €1. There is also a raffle on the night.

BOWLING

The St Anne’s Men’s Bowling Club meets ever Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the centre. Just call in on the day.
