COMMUNITY CENTRE

Circuit Training is starting back on Monday, September 25, and Thursday, September 28, at 8.30 p.m. in the Skreen-Dromard Community Centre. Everyone welcome,

GIRLS BASKETBALL

The Red Hawks Girls Basketball training has resumed in the community centre Skreen since Thursday, September 21, as follows first to third classes from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. And fourth to sixth classes from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The cost is €40 for one child €70 for two children and €90 for three children.

To ascertain potential numbers anyone interested is asked to confirm if their daughter will be partaking by texting 089 7000685 or 087 9321199 by Wednesday, September 20, with the child’s name and class required. Session times subject to change depending on numbers. Volunteer helpers will be most welcome. Registrati­on will take place on the first night.

BOYS BASKETBALL

It is hoped to set up a Boys Basketball Club in the Skreen-Dromard Community Centre.

Anyone interested should in being part of this club should contact Anne Marie at 087 6649635 for further details or to register interest.

BRIDGE CLUB

The Bridge Club is restarting in the Skreen-Dromard Community Centre on September 19 from 7.45 p.m. to 10 p.m. The first 10 nights will be with a registered teacher. All levels welcome.

SOCIAL DANCE

The Tireragh Girl Guides are hosting the September Social Dance in the community centre Skreen on Saturday, September 30, Admission is €10 the doors open at 10 p.m. And music for dancing will be provided by Ciarán Rosney.

All proceeds of this night will go to the aid of the Victoria Thompson Scholarshi­p. Tickets can be purchased from Geraldine Kiely – from the community centre and on the door on the night. Your support will be deeply appreciate­d.

GIRL GUIDES RESUME

The Tireragh Ladybird Brownie and Guide Troop resumed their weekly activities in the community centre Skreen on Friday last, September 15, from 5.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. New members welcome all year round and any girl from five years upwards will be accepted to join.

SOCIAL DANCE CLASSES

Social Dance Classes will start back in the community centre Skreen on Wednesday, September 27, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. All abilities welcome to come along and enjoy the fun.

GO FOR LIFE

The Go for Life Programme will resume in the Skreen-Dromard Community Centre on Tuesday, September 26, from 2.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. Everyone welcome to attend and enjoy gentle exercise curling and more. Refreshmen­ts will be served at the end of the session.

COFFEE MORNING.

A coffee morning in aid of the North West Hospice will be held on Saturday, September 30, from 10 a.m. in the home of Hugh and Helen Kilgallen and everyone is welcome to attend. Your support will be deeply appreciate­d.

CHURCH GATE COLLECTION

The recently held church gate collection for Arthritis Ireland Sligo Branch raised €191.23 for the Branch. Thanks to all who supported.

Congratula­tions to Donal Finneran Bunnina Dromard and Andrea Cawley Dunbeakin Templeboy on their recent marriage in the Church of the Immaculate Conception Templeboy on September 16.

PILGRIMAGE THANKS

Local boys Oisín Kevany and Shane Mooney would like to sincerely thank everyone who contribute­d to and so generously supported their recent Volunteeri­ng trip with the Youth Pilgrimage to Lourdes. A total of €1,300 was raised from the Bake Sale for the Lourdes Fund.
