Volunteers here “are to be enormously congratulated” for keeping the entire town litter-free. They were urged to work on the Schools Green Flag Programme, and erect a sign at the birthplace of Susan Yeats.

Roadside hoarding in front of the Quirky Glamping site was “reminiscent of unsightly sea-side developments of half a century ago” but judges wished it “good luck for the development of this imaginative project.” Altogether the roads, car parks and streetscape were favourably noted.
