Enniscrone surf and turf returns

THE incredibly popular Enniscrone Surf and Turf run is back again on Saturday, October 28th. Now in its fourth year, this year’s version will be new and improved, with new obstacles to make the course even more fun-filled! The fun run has thrilled approximately 500 participants in recent years as competitors compete over the 5km route for the right to take home the John P Hannon Memorial Cup. This year’s run takes place on Saturday, October 28th, giving everyone an opportunity to get their October bank holiday weekend off to the perfect start. Fun is at the centre of the run and organisers assure all those taking part that the route, while challenging, is very negotiable and with plenty of helpers along the way. Younger competitors aged between 14 and 16 can take on a 3km route. The entry fees are €20 for adults and €10 for youths. The starting and finishing point is the home of Enniscrone/Kilglass GAA and registration is available on the morning of the event from 10.30am, with the starting gun set to ring out at 12pm.
