Ox Mountain Adventure camp keeps on growing
The Ox Mountain Adventure Camp has recently added to its facilities with a new ‘Shepherd’s Hut’.
The Ox Mountain Shepherds Hut is a truly unique living experience away from modern day life.
The beautifully restored, genuine original Shepherd’s Hut simply contains the minimum needs of shelter and warmth.
The space is made up of a single open room housing a comfortable sofa which folds out to a double bed at one end of the hut and a double storage press with worktop area at the other side of the hut.
In between both and under one of the windows there is a fold out table area where you can enjoy your meals with a view.
There is also an electric space heater.
The exterior of the hut has extensive grounds for camping and a picnic bench is provided beside the hut for you to enjoy outdoor meals or drinks.
The Ox Mountain Shepherds Hut can sleep two on its fold out sofa, extra guests can sleep beside the hut in tent accommodation, ideal for families who want a safe enjoyable camping experience with a little extra comfort provided by the hut.
The Ox Mountain Adventure Camp is south Sligo’s premier outdoor activity centre.
Located approximately 6 miles from Tubbercurry the family run business is nestled away in the fold of the Ox Mountains.
There are archery sessions, guided hikes and children’s bushcraft workshops.
There are also seasonal camps hosted at the adventure camp, most recently the summer camps were a huge hit.
Team bonding, school tours and children’s parties are also catered for.
The adventure section of the Bronze and Silver Gaisce Awards are also catered for.
