IT Sligo students to hold fundraising event for the RNLI
IT Sligo students are using the opportunity, provided by a pub quiz being organised for Maths Week Ireland, to raise funds for the RNLI.
The quiz will be held in Anderson’s Grill & Bar on Wednesday 18th October from 8pm.
Entry is free for teams of four and teams who wish to enter early please contact Konrad Mulrennan (mulrennan.konrad@itsligo.ie).
There is limited availability for early team registration and there will be tables available on the night for last minute entries.
Supermacs and AIB are contributing directly to the RNLI as well as sponsoring the cash prizes on the evening.
A number of prizes have been kindly donated as raffle prizes highlighting huge community support for both causes. The quiz will have a loose maths theme running through it with rounds including general knowledge, music, sports and film. The quiz is part of a number of activities being promoted by IT Sligo. Supermacs Sligo have kindly donated €200 to the RNLI and made a €200 donation for prizes at the table quiz.
The AIB have made a €50 donation to the RNLI and a €100 donation prize for the best placed first year team at the table quiz.
The following prizes have been donated as raffle prizes with all proceeds going to the RNLI: Knocknarea Arena - 3 month gym membership, Radisson Blu Sligo - Lunch for 2, Clayton Hotel Sligo - Dinner for 2, Anderson’s Grill & Bar - Meal for 2 and a €30 voucher for EJ’s Menswear. Anderson’s Grill & Bar have kindly given free use of their premises for the evening.
