TOM MAGUIRE R.I.P.

The death occurred at his residence of Tom Maguire, Moylough recently. Predecease­d by his son John. Sincere sympathy is extended to his wife Gretta, daughters Nora, Mairead, Niamh, Mary, Geraldine Mary Brigid and Anne Marie, sons-in-law, grandchild­ren, nephews, nieces and a large circle of relations and neighbours. His remains lay in repose at his residence. Funeral Mass was celebrated by parish priest Fr Leo Henry and Fr Jim Finan. Burial took place in Rhue Cemetery. R.I.P.

MAIREAD DAVEY R.I.P.

The sad news of the sudden and unexpected death of Mairead Davey in a tragic accident while on holidays in Spain celebratin­g the occasion of her 40th birthday, has shocked and saddened everyone in the community of Sligo and surroundin­g counties.

Wife of popular Curry and Sligo footballer Seán Davey, she was well known as sportspers­on proudly representi­ng her club Tourlestra­ne ladies’ football and coaching underage teams representi­ng Cloonacool/Tubbercurr­y, at soccer, GAA, Community Games, swimming. Very large crowds attended her funeral obsequies displaying a genuine outpouring of grief and sadness.
