ST MARY’S OPEN EVENING

St Mary’s College, Ballisodar­e invites you to attend an open evening at our school on October 24 between 7: 00 and 9 p.m. We are happy to share all that our great school has to offer with you. You will have a chance to meet and talk to our teachers, students and parents.

There will be a presentati­on of all our subjects and facilities and you will be able to explore our school on the night, guided by our students. Tea and coffee will be available. Parents, past-pupils, members of the community and those thinking of sending their son or daughter to our school will be warmly welcomed.

YOUNG EXPLORERS

‘A WAKE IN THE WEST’

Anyone interested in getting involved with any aspect of the production of ‘A Wake In the West’, please come along to a short meeting on Wednesday, October 18, at 8 p.m. in the Teeling Centre.

HALLOWEEN DISCO

There is a Children’s Fancy Dress Halloween Disco on Sunday, October 29, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Teeling Centre. Admission €3. Children must be accompanie­d by an adult.

SCHOOL NEWS

Scoil Mhuire agus Iosaf, Collooney will hold an Enrolment Day for Junior Infants starting September 2018 on Wednesday, November 15, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Junior School. This will be an opportunit­y to view the classroom, meet the teacher and for the children to meet fellow classmates. If you cannot attend on the day, please contact collooneyn­s@gmail.com for an enrolment form.

Muscial Instrument­s – Scoil Mhuire and Iosaf are currently seeking any unwanted/unused musical instrument­s in good condition for their collection. There is a strong emphasis on music in the school and an after school Music Club has been set up every second Tuesday for interested pupils. They would greatly appreciate any donations. TEELING CENTRE

Soccer for boys and girls takes place on Fridays in the Teeling Centre. Under-six 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., under-eight 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. And under-11 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

TRADITIONA­L MUSIC CLASSES.
