Congratula­tions to Dromahair Developmen­t Tidy Towns group and Forest Grove Estate, winners at Leitrim Co Co and Leitrim PPN Environmen­tal and Community Awards 2017. A lot of hard work is done in the village all year round and all are deserving winners. This year they had a section ‘Unsung Hero’ s’, the area winners were Margaret and Charlie Sharkey for their outstandin­g contributi­on to Dromahair, awarded for their volunteeri­ng spirit, commitment, hard work and dedication over many years. Congratula­tions to you all.

KNOW YOUR RIVER

Leitrim Co Co in conjunctio­n with Dromahair Anglers and D Developmen­t Tidy Towns present ‘Get to know your river’ in Dromahair community park on Thursday, October 19, from 6.15 8.30 p.m. Want to know more about the science of our river. Bring all the family along for a very interestin­g event.

Weekly Jiving classes are continuing tonight Wednesday, October 18, in Newtownman­or Hall from 8.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. Anyone can dance, so come along – with practice you will be dancing like you never danced before. No need to sit watching dancers at social events, you will be able to join them on the dance floor.
