Sligo shop is shortlisted for Independent retailer of 2017
SLIGO based Irish design and Craft shop Cait & I was shortlisted for ‘Independent Retailer of the Year’ in this year’s Image Interiors & Living Design Awards.
‘ “We were delighted and very proud to be included in the shortlist for Independent Retailer after such a short time in business and to be the only shortlisted shop based in the West of Ireland. It’s good news for us, and good news for Sligo,” says Tara.
Kathleen adds: “We are in great company within our own category which includes the Irish Design Shop in Dublin, The Old Mill Stores and I am of Ireland – both Cork based shops. Many of the designers we stock have also been shortlisted including Kathryn Davey’s linen, Karo Art Ceramics and Deirdre Duffy from Wild Cocoon.
“Our Dad – local historian Joe McGowan has been very supportive of our new venture and we intend to celebrate with all the other shortlisted nominees. We are glad to be representing Sligo,” say the sisters.
Image Interiors and Living magazine launched the inaugural Design Awards in 2017 to celebrate those who display true excellence in their fields over 11 categories. These categories include ‘Ceramic Design’, ‘Furniture Design’, ‘Jewellery Design’, ‘ Textile Design’ and many more including ‘Independent Retailer of the year.’
