SOCIAL DANCE

The October Social Dance in the community centre Skreen will be held on Saturday, October 28, when the music for dancing will be provided by Kay and the Country Stars.

JUNIOR BADMINTON

Junior Badminton restarts at the community centre on Tuesday, October 17, from 7.30 p.m. to 8.15 p.m. for fifth and sixth class pupils and from 8.15 p.m. to 9 p.m. for Secondary School students. New members are welcome to join. If any Secondary Student in TY year is interested in helping out with the Junior Basketball please contact Amanda at 087 6550714 or Audrey at 087 7813459.

GO FOR LIFE

Go for life activities continue every Tuesday in the Skreen-Dromard Community Centre from 2.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. Everyone welcome to come along, take part in the activities and refreshmen­ts will be served after.

GIRL GUIDES

The Tireragh Ladybirds Brownies and Guides meet on Friday evenings in the community centre from 5.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. New members are always welcome to join age 5 & over .

SOCIAL DANCE CLASS

Social Dance Classes have resumed in the community centre on Wednesday evenings from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. And all abilities are welcome

OFFICE OPEN

The Skreen-Dromard Developmen­t Ltd office at the Skreen Community Centre is open for all office needs, such as photocopyi­ng typing creation and printing of posters and flyers etc for a small cost, Call Anne Marie at 087 6649635 for opening hours.

CIRCUIT TRAINING

Circuit training has restarted at the community centre on Mondays and Thursdays from 8.30 p.m. And all abilities are welcome.

BOYS/GIRLS BASKETBALL

An interest has been shown in the setting up of a Boys Basketball Club and to facilitate this happening, volunteers are now needed to help the coaches run the sessions. If you would like to help contact Anne Marie at 087 6649635 as soon as possible.

The Girls Red Hawks Basketball Club continues in the community centre on Thursday evenings as follows: First to third class pupils from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. And fourth to sixth class pupils from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The costs are €40 for one child €70 for two children €90 for three children. Volunteers are welcome to support these club evenings. Contact 089 7000685 for further details.

FLU VACCINE

The Flu Vaccine is now available at the Skreen Family Practice/ Health Centre for all over 65 years and anybody with a medical condition. To avail please phone 071 9166619 to arrange an appointmen­t

COFFEE MORNING.

Patricia and Shirley and Beltra Country Market wish to sincerely thank everyone who supported their recently held coffee morning in aid of the North West Hospice. A total of €303.63 was raised for the hospice.

OX MOUNTAIN CHALLENGE

The committee of the Ox Mountain Challenge wish to sincerely thank everyone who helped run this event – the stewards those who ran the water stations everyone who made sandwiches and baked cakes pies buns and biscuits and the tea and coffee makers. Special thanks goes to all the runners and walkers who took part and to everyone who cheered them along the way. It was a great community event with huge community effort involved and the committee is very grateful for all that help. The Challenge could not have been the huge success it was without this help and support.
