THE Connacht Uneven Ages XC was hosted last Sunday (5 November) by Longford AC and took place at Moyne College. Blessed with a good day, beautiful sunshine and just a couple of short heavy showers, North Sligo athletes were out in force.

Gemma O’Callaghan set the ball rolling for North Sligo by taking gold in the U11 girls and not long after, her brother, Rian O’Callaghan held off a strong challenge from Corran AC athlete to claim gold in the Under 13 boys.

Later Michael Kearins and Darragh Kelly took to the start line for North Sligo. Michael took silver in the Under 17 boys and Darragh took gold in the under 19 boys. A great finish to the competition for North Sligo.
