NO WESTLIFE REUNION

-

Westlife’s Kian Egan has rubbished claims made by Louis Walsh recently that the band are getting back together for a reunion.

Their former manager sent fans into a frenzy with his comments in Dublin, but Sligo native Kian Egan has poured plenty of Atlantic water on the rumours.

“It’s not true. There’s no conversation amongst the Westlife lads for a reunion. Everyone is very friendly and happy and we all still get on,” he told Sorcha Crowley yesterday.

Westlife split in 2012 after selling over 50 million records worldwide.

Boylesports said Westlife are now “red hot” at 2/5 to officially announce a reunion next year with it 8/13 that a reunion tour announcement will come in 2019.

But Kian said it would “definitely not” happen next year at least, because “everyone has their own plans.”

When asked if he’d ever consider a reunion, Kian said he couldn’t say yes or no because “there’s no conversation” about it.

“Louis is our biggest fan of all time. He loves the idea of it more than anything else. It’s not to say it wouldn’t happen in the future,” he said.

“We’ve just welcomed our third child, we’re locked into family life and on a different track for the moment. I’m here doing homework with my eldest son!” he added.

There are odds of 1/7 the 3Arena would be their venue of choice if they do reunite.
