€230,000 for Sligo and Leitrim Libraries

Fine Gael T.D. for Sligo - Leitrim Tony McLoughlin has announced that €230,000 has been allocated to County Council Libraries in Sligo and Leitrim by the Minister for Rural and Community Development Michael Ring T.D. under a new €3.83 Million Library Upgrade Scheme.

McLoughlin advised: “Sligo libraries will receive €122,000, whilst Leitrim libraries will receive €104,000.

“The strategy will focus on increasing both the membership and the use of our public libraries in Sligo and Leitrim. It is envisaged that this will be achieved through improved promotion of the library service, development of the library workforce and continuing development of quality services.”
