Good4U is shortlisted in Bord Bia food awards ‘17

-

A Sligo based food company Good4U has just been shortlisted in the 2017

Bord Bia Food & Drink Awards.

Marketing Director Laura O’Sullivan said: “As a small company on the North-West Coast of Ireland, we are very proud to be shortlisted for this award. The North West has struggled in recent years to compete with companies in more urban areas where opportunities are high, and a greater workforce is available. Companies like ours can break this trend and bring business back to this beautiful part of the country.”

Good4U was founded by the Butler family in 2004 with a vision to become the World’s most loved and trusted health food brand. Through an holistic approach and the provision of expert advice from nutritionists and dietitians the company aims to enable people to make better lifestyle choices.

More than a decade on Good4U products are on the shelves of some of the largest retail chains in the World including Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s,

Marks & Spencer, Dunnes Stores, Supervalu, Centra, Monoprix and Carrefour.

Laura says: “Good4U is revolutionising the snacking space with a range of snacks and ingredients that are honest, tasty, inclusive and affordable for everyone. Spanning across multiple categories Good4U is making its mark in Fresh Produce with superfood toppers for salads, in the Grocery Aisle with innovative flavoured seed and fruit mixes and more recently with healthy snacks for kids and adults. The company recognises that continuous innovation across all business disciplines is essential in carving out a unique position in the marketplace.”

In the past two years, Good4U has increased its workforce by 84%, export sales by 99% and turnover by 92%. Good4U recently secured major contracts to new international markets including the UAE, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Portugal and Scandinavia. The awards ceremony will be held on 29 th November 2017 in the RDS

“We are really looking forward to the ceremony and are delighted to be representing Sligo as a destination where business can truly flourish. Hopefully we will be bringing home gold on the night!” says Laura.
