Upgrading of alleyway

A motion to seek funding for the upgrading of an alleyway at Treacy Avenue was passed at the November meeting of Sligo County Council. Proposing the motion, Cllr Rosaleen O’Grady said there has been a tremendous job done at Treacy Avenue recently but the alleyway remains in quite poor condition.

She said the alleyway was used by young and old quite regularly and requested that funding be put in place to allow improvement works take place. The council is set to assess the area in the coming weeks and a costing be put together.
