Stonepark Warrior Challenge

THE Stonepark Warrior Challenge in aid of Stop Suicide was held on Sunday in Cloonloo and the annual event was another great success.

Organisers said they were delighted with the turnout and so far the amount raised is more than €2,000 with more sponsorshi­p cards to be collected.

The event, which included a 30k cycle and a 8km run/walk was held on Sunday morning and conditions were chilly but bright.

The Stonepark Warrior Challenge raises money for Stop Suicide and also other local charities in the area.

Organisers thanked everyone who helped out in any way and those who took part, saying that without them the event would not be possible.

1st Junior Girl Runner Sarah O’ Beirne

1st Junior Boy Runner - joint Evan O’ Gara and Jack Dodd

1st Ladies Runner - joint - Pauline Gorman and Rachel Martens 42.15

1st Male Runner - joint - Noel Scally and Gerard Sheerin 34.54

1st Ladies Cyclist - Aisling Gaughran 01.14

1st Male Cyclist - Martin Neary 58.20

1st Ladies Duathlon - Ann Wynne - 01.40

1st Male Duathlon Paul Little - 01:20.01.

It was Paul’s fifth year running and he set a record time.
