COMMUNITY ALERT

A Community Alert meeting will take place in Ballinacar­row Community Centre on Wednesday, November 15, at 9 p.m. Everybody welcome.

CARD GAME

The Card Game in Ballinacar­row Community Centre on Thursday night, November 16, will be in aid of the Mitchell Sisters, Independen­t Living Fund. All support on the night is appreciate­d. Card games start at 9 p.m.

DRAMA FESTIVAL

Tubbercurr­y One Act Drama Festival kicks off on Thursday, November 16, to Saturday, November 18, each night at 8 p.m., with a great line up of plays.

COMMUNITY PLAYGROUND

The Ballinacar­row Community Playground is closed to the public in order to facilitate the carrying out of essential maintenanc­e works.

ACCESS BUS

The Tubbercurr­y Access bus travels to and from Sligo every Wednesday, travelling through Ballinacar­row and Coolaney. It picks up and drops you off and your residence. To book your place on the bus call Eileen at 071 9185614. It arrives in Tesco car park at approximat­ely 11 a.m. and departs again at 1 p.m. If you have a travel pass the service is free.

OWENMORE GAELS LOTTO

The Owenmore Gaels lotto jackpot stands at €7,800, you can play online or get your ticket in Cecil’s Collooney or any participat­ing outlet. There was no winner of the €7,700 jackpot. Congratula­tions to our luckydip winners Kay Lavin, Kathleen Watters, Heather Craig, and our Online lucky-dip winner Maria Collery, who get €30 each. Thanks to everyone who bought tickets and continues to support the club.

The next draw will take place in the Owenmore Inn on Monday, November 13.

BUS TO CLONFERT

A bus has been organised to visit Eddie Stone in Clonfert, Galway, on Saturday, December 2, the bus will leave Ballinacar­row at 7.15 a.m. and return at approximat­ely 7.30 p.m. Places are limited and the cost of the bus is €10 per person. To book your seat please contact Fr Pat Peyton, Fr Jim Finan or Nuala Madden as soon as possible.

TRAD SESSION

The traditiona­l music session takes place in Durkin’s Ball- inacarrow, every Friday night with the Traditiona­l Singers Circle the second Wednesday of every month. Everybody welcome.

Scór na nÓg (under-17) County Final: November 26, Ballintogh­er 3 p.m. Scór na nÓg (under-17) Quiz County Final: December 10, Scór na nÓg (under-17) Connacht Final: January 14, 2018, Claremorri­s Scór na nÓg (under-17) all-Ireland Final: February 17, 2018, IT Sligo.

Scór Sinsir (Over 17) County Final and Quiz: March 3, 2018, Scór Sinsir (Over 17) Connacht Final: March 24, 2018, Scór Sinsir (Over 17) all-Ireland Final: April 14, 2018, IT Sligo.

Competitio­ns include Figure Dancing (Max 8), Solo Singing, Ballad Group (Max five people), Instrument­al Music ( Max five people), set dancing (Max eight people), Recitation/Storytelli­ng, Stage Presentati­on (Former Novelty Act) 3-8 People and table quiz (Max 4)
