The local members of Concern in Ballymote are holding the annual church gate collection next weekend on Saturday, November 18, and Sunday, November 19, Your donations will be of very great benefit to Third World countries where Concern workers are assisting the poorest of the poor on your behalf. Please donate generously.

CHRISTMAS BAZAAR

Just a reminder about our fifth annual Christmas Bazaar which will be held on Saturday, December 16, in the Loftus Hall commencing at 5.30 p.m. As in previous years this has been a great success and we will be looking for Bakers to provide us with some beautiful cakes, buns etc. for this event. We will also be asking local businesses to help us by giving us some sponsorshi­p towards the Bazaar. All proceeds raised will go towards our local North West Hospice. Please join us at this event and help spread the Christmas Spirit.

CHRISTMAS SHOEBOX

The Christmas Shoebox Warehouse opened in Ballymote Court House, on Tuesday, November 7, and continues each day Monday to Friday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. We are looking for volunteers for this worthy cause, please come along and help us. Thank you.

WRITING COURSE

Writing is a wonderful way of expressing yourself, and Journal Writing in particular helps us to find our own unique voice. It’s a great tool for finding clarity in our thoughts and a wonderful aid in creative problem solving. Why not come along to Ballymote Family Resource Centre on Tuesday evening, November 21, at 7 p.m. to experience Journal Writing for yourself.
