Christmas tree fest’ in St. John’s Cathedral

-

A Christmas tree Festival will take place this December 1st to 3rd in St. John’s Church of Ireland Cathedral

The BID sponsored event asks businesses and charities to design a Christmas tree that best highlights what they do.

The eye catching displays will be on show in St. John’s Cathedral with flyers or other promotional materials. There is no charge for this and once the festival is over the trees can be collected for display elsewhere.

People who attend the Festival will enjoy the array of trees displayed and be informed of the plethora of goods and services on offer in our Town over the Christmas period!

Entry to the Festival is free and folk can give a donation if they wish towards St. John’s and also to Sligo Social Services who do so much to assist those in need at Christmas time.

Schools, colleges and individuals are also putting trees in the Festival. There will be festive music in the Cathedral including school choirs and organ recitals. The festival will draw to a close with a Songs of Praise service on Sunday night at 7.30 p.m. For more information email stjohnschristmastreefest@gmail.com
