CHOIR OF AGES

Representi­ng North Leitrim Adults and children joining adults and children from Crumlin Dublin will be broadcast of RTE. One on November 30 at 10.15 p.m., repeated on Sunday, December 3, at 4.40 p.m. Three episodes every week for three weeks, choir also performing on Ray Darcy Show on Saturday, November 25, at 9.30 p.m.

CHRISTMAS FAIR

The annual Christmas Fair will take place in the community centre Drumkeeran on Sunday, December 10, at 2.30 p.m. All proceeds on the day will go to the Friendship Active Age Group. Tables available to rent, lots of bargains to be had. Santa Claus will arrive by helicopter on the day. Come along and help us to help others.

WOMEN’S GROUP

Killenumme­ry Women’s group are running an exercise class with Sue on Thursday evening at 7.30 p.m. in Killenumme­ry hall. All ladies are welcome €6 per night.

The exhibition will take place in the LSC Gallery in Manorhamil­ton and will launch at midday Friday, December 1, with the show running till January 12, 2018.

Small works in any medium in the form of framed or unframed drawings, paintings, prints or sculpture can be submitted. Up to a maximum of four works per artist may be submitted with a submission fee of €15 per work.

All items must be for sale and not exceed 3ft square in size including frame. There is no size limit for 3D sculptural works. LSC takes 25% commission from the sale price stated by the artist.

LEITRIM GUARDIAN

The fiftieth edition of Leitrim’s annual county magazine, namely, the 2018 Leitrim Guardian, was launched in the Bush Hotel Carrick-on-Shannon on Friday night, November 10, by Drumkeerin writer, poet and radio presenter Vincent Woods.

Following the recent closure of Bredin’s Shop Manorhamil­ton, there is now no shop on Main Street where the Leitrim Guardian would be sold. However Manorhamil­ton Postmaster, Aodh Flynn has stepped into the breech following Bredin’s and put the 2018 Leitrim Guardian on sale.

Among the many interestin­g items in the 2018 Leitrim Guardian is one on the late Guardian’s founder, Manorhamil­ton man Michael Fox, which has been penned by Galway based Manor local historian, Dominic Rooney.

WILD WEST PANTO

The Corran Players presents ‘Yee-Haw, The Wild West’ pantomime will be staged nightly at 8 p.m. in Ballymote on from Thursday night, November 30, till Sunday night, December 3, while there will also be a matinee at 2.30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.

CHRISTMAS FAIR

For all interested in participat­ing in the Christmas fair as vendors tables are available to rent for the organisers. Santa Claus will arrive by helicopter in Drumkeerin on the day. The Christmas Fair organisers say ‘come along and help us to help others.’

BUS TO BELFAST

A bus will travel from Kinlough and Manorhamil­ton to Belfast on this Saturday, November 24, and it will provide a good opportunit­y for all travelling to visit Belfast’s very popular Christmas Market at City Hall, as well as other city centre attraction­s.

The bus will leave from Kinlough Community Centre at 8 a.m. on November 25 and from Manorhamil­ton Fire Station at 8.30 a.m. The return fare is €20. To book a seat on the bus please phone or text Thomas at 087 6373810.
