The Windmill Players are staging Ray Cooney’s hilarious farce Tom, Dick and Harry this weekend in the Dromore West Community Centre. The show is running from Friday, November 24th, until the following Sunday. Doors open at 7:30pm and the show begins at 8pm. Colin Stafford-Johnson, the award-winning wildlife cameraman and presenter is in the Hawk’s Well this evening, Tuesday, for an intriguing insight into his career. Listen to his fascinatin­g stories from filming in some of the wildest places on earth. From 8pm, tickets €17.

The artist-in-residence at the Model for the month of November is Daniel Chester. The Cara Visual Award winner’s work focuses on the rural landscapes of the west of Ireland, the spaces that are left to the elements – uncultivat­ed land, overgrown and wild but also rich in wildlife. The exhibition runs until December 2nd.

Moonfish are bringing their production, Star of the Sea, to the Hawk’s Well on Thursday. Based on the acclaimed novel from Joseph O’Connor, it follows the story in 1847 of the famine ship Star of the Sea as it sets sail for the Promised Land. Don’t miss this excellent piece of Irish theatre.

This world-famous bear has been busy of late, filming for the M&S Christmas ad and he’s also got his own film out right on time for the festive period. The film follows Paddington, who is now happily settled with the Brown family and a popular member of the local community. He picks up a series of odd jobs to buy the perfect present for his Aunt Lucy’s 100th birthday, only for the gift to be stolen. Now showing in Sligo Omniplex.

The Hawk’s Well will be rich with the sound of music this Saturday night with Sligo Sings. This popular event sees a host of local choirs take to the stage in an uplifting and entertaini­ng show. Tickets €16. Early booking advised.

They are revered throughout their native Sligo, Ireland and further afield. The band is bringing their eclectic mix of trad, world and jazz music to the Hawk’s Well on Sunday night for an unmissable performanc­e in their hometown. Tickets €15.
