GRAND OPENING

Best of luck to Riverstown Pharmacy, who is joining forces with totalhealth. To celebrate this and the fact that they are open 18 years in Riverstown they are holding a Grand Opening on Friday, December 1, at 3.30 p.m. Santa will be there to cut the ribbon. Make-up specialist Carol Willis will be there from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. to celebrate the launch of the pharmacy’s latest new Make-Up range Flormar.

Come along and enjoy 20% of ladies and gents fragrances and all jewellery including the new range of Tipperary Crystal jewellery and three for two deals on all Christmas gifts for the day.

There will be treats for the kids, goody bags, colouring competitions and lots of free goodies and also hampers to be won on the day.

CAKE AND CARD SALE

There will be a cake and Christmas Card Sale in Taunagh NS on Saturday, December 2, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Christmas cards illustrated by the pupils and homemade baking will be on sale on the day. The school is also holding a raffle with the draw being held at 1 p.m. There are fantastic prizes to be won. All funds raised will go towards educational resources and workshops for the children. SONGS OF PRAISE

Advent Songs of Praise with Sligo Gospel Choir will take place on Sunday, December 3, at 4 p.m. in Taunagh parish church Riverstown. Refreshments in Cooper Memorial hall afterwards. All very welcome.

GOLF CLUB

Castle Dargan ladies golf club would like to thank sincerely all who supported their play last week. Thanks to all who bought raffle tickets and well done to the lucky prize winners.

The parishioners of Ballysumaghan Church would like to sincerely thank all those who supported their recent fundraising dance which was held in Ballintogher Hall. Thanks to all who sponsored prizes, bought tickets and to all those who came along on the night. It was a great success and an extremely enjoyable night.
