TEXT ALERT AGM
The AGM of Gurteen/Cloonloo Community Text Alert was held on Thursday, November 9, in St Patrick’s Hall Gurteen. It was well attended and the meeting commenced with the reading of the Minutes of the last meeting.
Matters arising were discussed through the Chair with Sergeant Gerry Curley giving a detailed report on current happenings in the area and the notable decline in crime. This is a welcome statistic but he also reiterated the fact that we, as a community, must never become complacent and must always maintain vigilance particularly where older members of our community are concerned, those living alone and also, vulnerable people.
Fr Joe Caulfield gave the Financial Report: We have 186 members on Text Alert and a small number of those registered are now overdue with their annual contribution of €5. In order to remain on the register please place your €5 in an envelope with your name and MOBILE no.(not landline), written clearly on outside and leave into Centra/post office, Gurteen. Anybody wishing to join may do likewise.
