COMMUNITY COUNCIL AGM

The AGM for Skreen-Dromard Community Council was held on Thursday, November 16. The following officers were elected to serve for the coming 12 months.

Chair Allister Kee Vice-Chair Martin Wilson; secretary Jackie Higgins Assistant; secretary Aisling Farrell; Joint treasurers Maria Haran, the second position not filled; PRO Not filled; Safety Officer Francis Finnerty and Assistant Tom Kennedy; Booking Officer is the secretary in office at the community centre.

The unfilled positions will be filled at the December meeting which will take place on December 12.

COMMUNITY CENTRE

The current Booking Officer for the Skreen-Dromard Community Centre, Geraldine Kiely has retired from the position of Booking Officer.

From now on anyone wishing to book the community centre must do so by contacting the office at the community centre. Please call Anne Marie at 087 6649635 to book the centre for meetings or events.

Retiring officer Geraldine Kiely is sincerely thanked for her committed years as Booking Officer.

TÚS SCHEME

Skreen and Dromard are currently looking for a TÚS worker to carry out maintenanc­e and repair work in various location in the community. 98TH BIRTHDAY WISHES

Congratula­tions and all good wishes to Maureen Phillips Carrowcull­en Skreen and Stonehall Ballisodar­e on the recent celebratio­n of her 98th Birthday on November 11.

COMMUNITY CARE OUTING

The Community Care group are organising a Day Trip to Athlone on Tuesday, December 5, with dinner in Gleeson’s Restaurant Roscommon. Places are limited and the cost is €30 so booking is essential. DIAMOND LADIES LUNCH

The annual Diamond Ladies Lunch Fundraiser in aid of Shout (Sligo Hospital Oncology Unit Trust) will take place in the Diamond Coast Hotel Enniscrone on Friday, December 1. Tickets are €50 per person. To register your interest in attending and to book your place contact Moya at 087 6811781.
