Ballymote panto promises to be a big hit with audiences

-

Come along to the Wild Wild West to the town of Windy Bottom for this year’s Pantomime in the Art Deco, Ballymote, where you will meet Madame Moonshine and her hapless barman and an evil sheriff.

Not to forget the cowboys, Indians and Big Big Chief, the mystical magical Fairy and there could be a Mexican or two thrown into the mix.

This show promises to be one not to be missed with side-splitting humour and relentless comedy throughout.

You will be singing and dancing from your seats audience members might be asked to get involved.

“It’s the first time we’ve done a Western and it’s really funny,” said Amanda Martin, Director of the panto.

“Every year we make a donation to charity from the proceeds of the event.

“Last year we split €6,000 between two charities so we are really relying on the support of the public,” she added.

This is Amanda’s second year as director, having been involved with the Corran Players for years when she was younger.

“I was director last year and it was a great success overall, we were very happy with it,” she said.

This year, there are even new additions, and Amanda says the crowd will love it.

“We have new additions to the cast this year and it’s very funny.

“We have been rehearsing since September and a lot of hard work has gone on since then but everybody really enjoys it and that’s the main thing.”

The panto takes place at the Art Deco Theatre from Thursday, November 30 th until December 3rd at 8pm. The matinee takes place on Sunday December 3rd at 2.30pm.
