Night in memory of Dan Healy

A night in memory of the late musician Dan Healy will be held in Durkin’s, Ballinacarrow on Friday, December 1st.

All musicians, singers and members of the public are invited along on the night to come and enjoy some live music.

A plaque in memory of the late Ballymote native was erect- ed at Ballymote train station recently, as friends and fellow musicians gathered to remember their close friend Dan.

A renowned flute player, Dan could play tunes that he remembered from childhood and along with writer Maire Garvey, they played and published several works on tradi- tional Irish music.
