Fun for all the family, Sligo on Ice is back for a second year running but this time the location is in the centre of town. Organiser Eddie Mulrooney has teamed up with Sligo BID to bring the ice rink to the Big Red Barn in Stephen Street Carpark. BABES IN THE WOOD

Coolera Dramatic Society are back with their annual Christmas Panto. This year Babes in the Wood will run at the Hawk’s Well Theatre from Sunday 3rd December to Saturday 16th December. It is the 39th annual pantomime and promises to be the perfect pre Christmas treat for all the family.

ORPHEUS CHOIR

Sligo Orpheus Choir presents Carols by Candleligh­t on Sun10th December at 8.00pm in Holy Cross Friary Sligo in support of the North West branch Simon Community. Accompanie­d by organist, Trumpeters, String Quartet, and under the direction of Austin McManus audiences won’t fail to be awed by the joy of these Christmas carols. Singing a wide variety of classic carols and modern favourites, Sligo Orpheus Choir hope to inspire entertain and awaken the spirit with Carols old and new. Carols by Candleligh­t is a wonderful way for families and friends to get together and celebrate the magic of Christmas while showing solidarity with others.

SANTA BABIES

Entertain the little ones with a series of short concerts at the Hawk’s Well Theatre on Saturday 9th December. Experience the magic of live music with Sinead Conway and Dave Flynn as the talented duo serenade babies, toddlers, grandparen­ts, parents and young children with festive favourites. From 12pm for 0 to 18 months, 2pm 18 months to 3 years.

SANTA VISITS SLIGO

Santa will be making plenty of stops in Sligo to hear your requests before the big day, including Quayside, Strandhill Christmas Market, Riverstown Folk Park, Arigna Mines, Tullyboy Farm near Boyle and Five Star Fun in Grange.
