Science award for Sooey NS
SOOEY N.S. were recently named as nationwide winners of the ReelLIFE Science competition.
The annual competition invites schools to submit a 3-minute video documentary on a Science topic of their choice. The children of 5 th & 6 th Class made a documentary titled ‘How the Immune System Works’ and it was selected as the winner from almost 200 entries from around the country.
The children received their prize of €1000 at the Galway Science Festival on Sunday last. This is the second time the school has won first prize, having previously won the award in 2014.
