Kickboxers end on a high

COLLOONEY kickboxers has a busy time recently on the mats, travelling from Ballina to Monaghan for what was the last tournament­s in a very successful year for the club.

On the Saturday, brothers Leo (10)and PJ (9) Scanlon got Collooney off to a good start, with both winning their debut ring show in Ballina.

Colm Lang ,Luke Brehony, Cathal Monds, Leo Scanlon, Kyle Keaney and PJ Scanlon all fought at the last KBI Ireland tournament of the year.

All six fighters fought very well securing 4 golds and 3 silvers which was a fantastic tally.

Collooney coaches Des Leonard and Aine Conlon have put in enormous work and are extremely proud of the young athletes’ performanc­es throughout the year.

Collooney Kickboxing Club would like to thank all their sponsors and parents for their continued support throughout the year and look forward to more successes for the club in 2018.
