Had cannabis for own use

A young man who was found in possession of a small piece of cannabis had the summons dismissed under the Probation Act by Judge Kevin Kilrane.

Before the court was Gavin Egan of Top Road, Strandhill who was summoned for having €50 worth of the drug at The Mall on January 6 th last. Mr Gerard McGovern, solicitor (defending) pleaded the defendant had no previous convictions and was in court with his father.
